3) Under Advanced, select System and turn off the option Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is. Locate the Google Chrome icon and drag it to the Bin. Go to the Applications folder to get rid of the app. Or use the Command-Option-Esc keyboard shortcut to open the Force Quit Applications window. ![]() 2) At the bottom of the page, select the Advanced option. If Google Chrome is in your Dock, right-click it, and choose Quit. This lets Chrome translate specific languages for you in the future. To disable the Chrome cleanup tool: 1) Open Settings on Google Chrome. By default Chrome’s translating of additionally added languages is turned off, but if you’d rather Chrome handle these languages as well, click more (three dots next to a language) next to the language, and tick the “Offer to translate pages in this language” setting.
